Five Fun Facts about the Touch a Truck Event

Little ones will take over downtown Topeka as the streets will be filled with cranes, dump trucks, ambulances, semitrucks and other large-and-in-charge vehicles for the annual Touch-a-Truck event Saturday morning.

Following are a few fun facts about this year's event:

1. Each year this event has grown. For its fifth year, there will be the largest number of vehicles to date for kids to explore and learn more about.

2. In addition to trucks, there's also a large sand pile for future builders to begin modeling their skyscrapers. Or an opportunity for kiddos to practice their mountain-climbing or hole-digging skills.
