THE hunt is on for a new chair for the The Institute of Directors in the north west.

The search comes ahead of the departure of incumbent chair Mike Perls.

The MC2 founder will complete his three-year tenure this December, paving the way for another influencer in the region to take on the role.

Speaking of the news, IOD regional director Claire Ebrey said: "We have had a brilliant three years under Mike's reign; he has helped steer businesses in the region as they adapt to a wave of political change and Brexit.

"He has helped us disseminate policy and guidance supplied by the broader IOD as well as creating a relevant dialogue and support network for leaders of businesses in Manchester, Liverpool, Cheshire, Lancashire and Cumbria.
