Saskatchewan premier has new chief of staff

REGINA - Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall has named a former deputy premier and one-time cabinet minister as his new chief of staff.

Ken Krawetz was a longtime member of the legislature and did stints as education and finance minister before deciding not to run again in the 2016 election.

He replaces Wall's outgoing chief of staff, Joe Donlevy, who is leaving to pursue business opportunities in the private sector.

Wall says in a release that Donlevy's nine years in the job makes him the longest-serving chief of staff to a Saskatchewan premier.

Wall also says he is delighted that Krawetz has agreed to take over the position for the remaining months of the premier's time in office. …
