A DETERMINED mum shed HALF her body weight in less than a year with an unusual exercise routine - using tins of BAKED BEANS as weights.

Hollie Nolan lost an impressive seven stone - going from a size 22 to a size eight - in just nine months by lifting cans of the dinner time favourite.

The 30-year-old, from Bolton, decided to make a change after seeing herself in footage from her sister's wedding and breaking down in tears.

Facing up to the fact she was struggling to walk, she set about fitting exercise into her busy life.

Hollie, who has two sons aged seven and four, went to Slimming World classes after her dad, John, 57, paid for sessions.

He promised to take her and the boys to Corfu if she lost two stone.

Hollie, a receptionist, swapped lazing on the sofa with sugary drinks and junk food for threemile runs, three times a week. She bought an exercise DVD by Davina McCall and worked out to it twice a day - and raided the kitchen cupboard instead of buying expensive weights. …
