Family's Hunt for Woman Who Saved Dad on Bridge

THE family of a man who was talked down from a bridge want to find the woman who helped save his life.

Police were called to Queen's Park Bridge in Heywood after concerns were raised for the 28-yearold's welfare. But before they arrived, a woman known only as 'Andrea', stopped to help the distressed man, and stayed with him until officers got him to safety.

The man's sister said: "If it wasn't for her then my brother might not be here.

"Our mum would have lost her son, my sister and older brother would've lost their brother, his girlfriend would've lost a partner, and his children would've lost their dad. We'd really like to find Andrea and meet up with her and say a big thank you and tell her how proud we are of her."

She added that her brother is now receiving specialist support. …
