Grammy-Nominated Rapper to Perform at KU Basketball's Late Night

LAWRENCE -- This year's Late Night in cured its headlining act -- other than the Jayhawks themselves, of course.

Lil Yachty, a Grammy-nominated rapper and singer best known for singles "Little Boat" and "Broccoli," will perform at the 33rd annual scrimmage and unofficial Kansas basketball kickoff event, KU announced Tuesday. The event is slated to start at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Allen Fieldhouse.

Late Night, which features skits and dance routines for both the men's and women's basketball teams, is also a key event in recruiting, and this year is no different.

Class of 2018 prospects slated to attend this year's installment include forward Zion Williamson (No. 2-ranked prospect, Rivals.com), guard Quentin Grimes (No. 11), guard Devon Dotson (No. 17) and guard Jalen Carey (No. 49). Oral commits Silvio De Sousa (No. 25) and David McCormack (No. …
