Police Identify Four Men Arrested in Connection with Craigslist Robbery

Four men were jailed in connection with armed robbery following the hold-up of an individual who was answering a Craigslist advertisement late Monday in a west-side parking lot.

Royelle Dwayne-Lamarc Hunt, 28, of Topeka, Damarcus Jermaine White, 23, Darin Terell White, 20, and Austin Richard Prescott, 23, of Burlingame, were arrested in connection with the incident. They were booked into the Shawnee County Jail early Tuesday.

Topeka police were called at 9:01 p.m. Monday to the Dillons Food Market parking lot at 4015 S.W. 10th Ave. regarding an armed robbery to a man that had just occurred.

Police Lt. Andrew Beightel said the man told officers he was responding to a Craigslist ad to buy merchandise. The victim said he was meeting with the seller of the ad and was approached by four individuals, one of whom brandished a pistol and demanded his money.

Following the robbery, the four individuals fled the area in a black Infiniti sport utility vehicle, Beightel said.

While responding to the robbery, a Topeka police officer spotted the suspect vehicle and stopped it about a mile to the south and west, in the 1500 block of S. …
