After months of consultations, Ottawa is about to unveil its new cultural policy.

It will be aimed at making sure its approach to Canadian content is flexible enough to help content creators while also helping them sell their wares abroad.

One of the government's goals was to get companies like Netflix to play a bigger role financially.

And a source says today's announcement will include an agreement that Netflix will invest at least 500-million-dollars in original productions in Canada over the next five years. (8)

Twitter will be on the hot seat on Capitol Hill today in Washington.

Executives from the social media giant will speak with House and Senate investigators as part of ongoing investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 elections.

Governor General David Johnston has just a few more public duties to perform before he retires from his post as the Queen's representative.
