The Place: The 12th annual Savor Pittsburgh event to benefit Magee-Womens Research Institute and Foundation was held at the University of Pittsburgh's Petersen Events Center in Oakland on Thursday evening.

The Party: An athletic arena was an appropriate venue for this competitive food fest. Chefs from 24 restaurants around Pittsburgh were asking hungry guests to cast their votes as they nibbled their way from stall to stall taste testing savories and sweets. VIPs were treated to their own cocktail reception, which included clams casino, beef sliders and ahi tuna. When the crumbs settled, this years's winners were announced. Best Appetizer: Nemacolin Woodlands Resort (Ahi Tuna 3 Ways), Best Entree: 424 Walnut (Crab and Sausage Chowder), Best Dessert: Angelo's Restaurant (Italian Gelato: Death by Chocolate, Dangerous Stuff, Buttered Popcorn), People's Choice: Butler Brew Works (Sous Vide Pork Tenderloin), and Dish of the Year: Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse (Surf & Turf, Roasted Bone Marrow with Oxtail Marmalade & Lobster Pot Pie). …
