Key Players on Mend Gives Hill a Good Problem

ROCHDALE manager Keith Hill insists there is now major competition for places in his squad ahead of today's trip to Wimbledon.

After a slow start to the season, Dale have improved their form in recent weeks, losing just one of their past four matches to sit 17th in the League One table.

Hill says the change in fortunes has coincided with some key players returning to fitness, and he's happy with how things are shaping up.

"We're getting a very strong squad now and players are missing out. Mark Kitching has recovered from injury, but missed out the other day, and he's done quite well for us in recent games when we've had players unavailable," he said.

"I don't want to pick players because they're just there - players have to perform on the training pitch. If players down tools on the training pitch, then they don't play. …
