THE £12m fee for his signature almost seems a bargain in the modern football market.

But former City left-back Wayne Bridge admits he still pinches himself at what the Blues paid for his services.

The defender, now 37, arrived at the Etihad on a four-and-a-half-year deal from Chelsea in 2009 - and despite having amassed 36 international appearances for England, he still believes the fee paid for him didn't reflect his abilities.

City spent more than £100m in total on three new full-backs in the summer, with Kyle Walker, Benjamin Mendy and Danilo all commanding fees that eclipsed Bridge's.
