OLYMPIC champion Adam Peaty will head a star-studded field at the Manchester International Swim Meet this month.

The 200m breaststroke world record holder will be joined by Olympic silver medallist Siobhan-Marie O'Connor at the Manchester Aquatics Centre.

It means a total of eight Rio Olympians and five 2017 world championship representatives will compete in the two-day event, which forms part of the qualifying process to join Peaty and O'Connor at the Commonwealth Games in Australia next year.

"I'm really looking forward to the Manchester International Swim Meet," said Peaty, who became the first British male in 24 years to win Olympic gold in the 200m breaststroke and earlier this year won the 50m and 100m breaststroke world titles.
