No one was injured in a late Wednesday head-on crash resulting from a wrong-way driver northeast of Topeka.

Shawnee County sheriff's Sgt. Harry Louderback said the crash was reported around 10:30 p.m. at N.E. Seward Avenue and K-4 highway.

According to Louderback, the collision occurred when the driver of a 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo entered the wrong ramp while attempting to get onto N.E. K-4 highway from Seward Avenue.

The Chevrolet collided head-on with a 2012 Toyota Tundra pickup truck that had exited K-4 highway and was approaching Seward Avenue, Louderback said.

The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as Timothy Green III, 25, of Kansas City, Mo., and an 18-year-old female passenger in the car sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment after being seen by first-responders and American Medical Response ambulance personnel at the scene. …
