QWE have two damp patches on an inside wall. We have used stain block and a drop of bleach. None of these have worked. What can you suggest? Carolyn Willmot AIF I knew the age of the property it would be easier to judge, but you need to identify the cause of the dampness. It could be dot-dabs that stick plasterboard to an external wall. The dampness is persistent as it's blowing off the stain blocks, so you need to cut out the damp patches and see what's behind. A plasterer would probably be able to identify the problem.

QWE want to replace our shower unit, but don't want to replace the bathroom tiles as we like them and they are still in perfect condition except for inside the shower unit where they are tired looking. I was thinking of replacing inside the new shower walls with wet board panels. …
