NAT049 - (GM-Ingersoll-Strike) TORONTO. x-07s. The 28-hundred striking workers at G-M's CAMI plant in Ingersoll, Ontario will be voting on a tentative new agreement on Monday, morning and could be back to work that night if they accept the deal. The agreement was reached Friday and union leaders at Unifor are urging their members give it the green light. Job security was a major issue, as Unifor sought assurances the Ingersoll facility would be the lead plant for the hot-selling Equinox. Mike Van Boekel, a Unifor Local 88 official, says that issue has been addressed. ("..years to come.") (SOURCE:The Canadian Press)
