KU, Mizzou Have Sold All Charity Exhibition Tickets

LAWRENCE -- The men's basketball exhibition between Border War rivals Kansas and Missouri just took a big step toward making a big difference.
Both programs have sold out their entire allotment of tickets for the 3 p.m. Sunday contest at Sprint Center. The event, dubbed "Showdown for Relief," has the goal of raising awareness and financial support for hurricane relief efforts.
KU has exhausted its allotment of about 8,000 tickets, associate athletic director Jim Marchiony confirmed in a text message to The Topeka Capital-Journal. The school made its allotment available to members of the Williams Education Fund and students last Friday.
Missouri announced it had sold out its allotment in a Tuesday afternoon tweet.
