BERNARDO Silva has warned City fans that the fun and goals cannot last.

The Portugal international took part in a 3-0 win against Burnley which came close to equalling Everton's record, from 1894, of netting 33 goals in the first nine games of a league season.

And with the Blues racking up a club joint record of 11 straight wins, and another of 22 games unbeaten - equalling their efforts in 1936-37 and 1946-47 - it has been sunshine all the way. But after Burnley proved dogged opponents and stifled a little of the magical football the support has enjoyed this season, Bernardo said it won't always be like this.

"You cannot always win 7-0 or 7-2, or 6-1 or 5-0," he said. "Some games are more complicated than others, and the most important thing is to win the three points and then keep winning, winning, winning. …
