Chase Launches Online Banking Accounts for Millennials in St. Louis

JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s consumer and commercial banking arm is rolling out its first online bank account in St. Louis with the goal of attracting millennials.

Chase, which doesn't have bank branches in St. Louis, said its new Finn by Chase online banking account will offer customers the ability to make deposits and track spending in an all-mobile product.

Customers will receive debit cards linked to the account with fee-free access to cash from 29,000 ATMs, including a couple hundred in St. Louis that won't allow users to spend more than they have in their accounts. There's a $25 minimum balance to open an account.

The test of the product is for those who live in the St. Louis area who have Apple smartphones. While not limited to millennials, young adults and college students are the bank's target market. …
