Detention Hearing Delayed for Lolos

The detention hearing for a Bergenfield man facing murder charges was pushed back until Wednesday because his lawyer requested more information from the Prosecutor's Office.

Raphael Lolos is accused of killing of his girlfriend, Jenny Londono. He appeared Monday before Judge Edward Jerejian.

Defense attorney Brian Neary asked the Prosecutor's Office to provide additional information before the detention hearing. Lolos will remain in jail, pending Wednesday's hearing.

Neary said he is able to determine what information he needs based on the sworn statements provided with the complaints.

Lolos, 40, of Bergenfield, had his first appearance in court last week on murder charges in the death and dismemberment of his girlfriend. Londono went missing June 25, and her dismembered remains were found floating in the Red Hook Channel inBrooklyn on June 27, authorities said. On June 28, authorities released a photo of a tattoo with Sanskrit letters that was just below the right hip, which several friends said was similar to one Londono had. …
