EIGHT reigning Olympic champions and 13 world champions will be in action at the star-studded UCI Track World Cup in Manchester this month.

Great Britain named their squad last week, confirming Olympic gold-medal winners Katie Archibald, Ed Clancy, Elinor Barker, Phil Hindes, Callum Skinner and Steven Burke in the party for the three-day event at the National Cycling Centre.

They will now be joined Germany's two-time Olympic and nine-time world champion sprinter Kristina Vogel.

Belgian duo Lotte Kopecky and Jolien D'Hoore, who won the world madison title earlier this year, will be taking to the track in Manchester, as will the 2016 women's road world champion Amalie Dideriksen.

Experienced New Zealander Ed Dawkins - a winner of three world titles and an Olympic silver medal - has been named in the Kiwi squad, while five-time rainbow jersey winner Theo Bos will line up in the orange of the Netherlands along with Olympic women's keirin champion Elis Ligtlee. …
