World Bird Sanctuary Director Charged with Exposing Himself outside Pharmacy

EUREKA * Brian Bissonnette, the executive director of the World Bird Sanctuary in Valley Park, has been charged with exposing himself in a Walgreens parking lot in March.

Twenty ordinance violations of lewd and immoral conduct against Bissonnette were certified Sept. 19 for a jury trial in St. Louis County Circuit Court.

Eureka city prosecutor Katherine Butler filed the charges in Municipal Court against him July 17. The charges say that Bissonnette "exposed private parts of his body in a place open to public view" about 9:15 p.m. March 3 at 250 East Fourth Street.

According to Katherine Butler, Eureka's prosecutor, Bissonnette would stand next to a Redbox dispenser outside a Walgreens store and expose himself to people renting or returning movies.

"He made a statement (to police) that he got a charge out of it," Butler said. …
