Hunt for Raider Who Hit OAP in Her Home

A PENSIONER was knocked to the floor and smacked in the face with her stolen handbag.

The 89-year-old woman heard a knock at her front door, in Hamilton Square, Wigan, and opened it to see who was outside.

When the woman answered, a man pushed through the door, forced the woman out of the way and knocked her to the floor.

He then went into her bedroom and took her handbag, which contained some valuables.

As he left the house he hit the woman in the face with the stolen bag.

The incident took place at around 8.20pm on Tuesday, October 24.

The man is described as white, between 40 to 60-years-old, between 5ft to 6ft, of medium build and with a distinctive nose.

He was wearing a fawncoloured peak cap with brown stripes, a brown jacket and brown trousers. …
