SASKATOON. x-16s. Next month Saskatchewan's 12 health regions will become one, a topic on many people's minds at the Saskatchewan Medical Association's fall representative assembly in Saskatoon. Health Minister Jim Reiter (WRITER) says a board is in place and a C-E-O has been appointed, but there is still a lot of work to go as they transition the 40-thousand health sector employees into the Saskatchewan Health Authority. Reiter guarantees there won't be any layoffs to frontline staff, at least during the transition.
