CITY have already won more games this season against the 'big six' than they managed last year.

The win over Arsenal followed victories over Liverpool and Chelsea so far in the Premier League to move Pep Guardiola's side eight points clear at the top of the table.

It means City have won more games against the big sides in the manager's second season than they managed for the entirety of his first spell in charge.

In ten games last year, City managed a win and a draw in two meetings with United and Arsenal.

They also picked up home draws with Liverpool and Spurs.

They lost both of the respective away games and didn't take a point off Chelsea. That left them with ten points, so City need a win or two draws in seven fixtures this season to beat that tally - and could surpass it as early as December. …
