Some of the music world's biggest stars were in Montreal's Bell Centre last night for a memorial tribute concert to Canadian singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen, who died a year ago at the age of 82.

International stars such as Feist, Lana Del Rey and Elvis Costello all put their own twist on some of Cohen's classic songs.

Fans heard k.d. lang sing "Hallelujah," Sting perform "Dance Me To The End of Love," and even some punk-rock interpretations of Cohen's music thanks to Elvis Costello and Courtney Love.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau made a brief appearance on stage, where they said their first dance at their wedding had been to the tune of Cohen's "I'm Your Man. …
