Martinez Tells Lukaku How to End Goal Drought

ROMELU Lukaku needs to 'carry on enjoying his football' and 'carry on being himself' amid his seven-game goal drought, according to Belgium manager Roberto Martinez.

The 24-year-old has not scored since helping fire the Red Devils to a 4-0 win against Cyprus last month and his last goal for United came against Crystal Palace on September 30.

It has been Lukaku's longest run without a goal since he went 10 games without scoring while playing for Everton in the spring of 2016.

But Martinez, who was Lukaku's club manager during that goalless run, believes the £75m man is not suffering a crisis of confidence and will soon end his drought.

"I've a big advantage with Rom because I have worked with him for four years now in different environments with the national team and at club level and I know Romelu inside out," he said at his pre-match press conference ahead of Belgium's game against Mexico on Friday. …
