BC02 - (Hammy-Deer)

PRINCE RUPERT, B.C. x-19s. Residents in Prince Rupert, B-C, have become captivated by a deer that has part of a hammock stuck in his antlers. The buck was nicknamed Hammy after police freed him from a hammock he'd become entangled in earlier this year. Now, Hammy has his own Facebook group tracking his movements around the city and he's also been featured on a line of T-shirts that sold out almost instantly. The creator of the T-shirts, Prince Rupert resident Frances Riley says the purple fringe in Hammy's antlers doesn't appear harmful, but she hopes it starts a conversation about interactions between humans and wildlife.
