Kopatich Paces KU Women's Basketball in Season-Opening Win

LAWRENCE -- Kylee Kopatich's career-high 21 points led the Kansas women's basketball team to a 66-48 season-opening victory over Campbell on Sunday in Allen Fieldhouse.

Kopatich, a junior guard, was 6 of 10 from the field and knocked down five 3-pointers. The Olathe South product added seven rebounds and five assists.

KU led 35-20 at halftime behind 17 first-half points from Kopatich. The Jayhawks maintained a double-digit lead throughout the second half.

Junior Christalah Lyons chipped in 13 points and five assists and junior Austin Richardson had 10 points and six rebounds.
