Silva Is the Golden Boy for Spain as He Moves in on Record

DAVID Silva can't stop scoring for Spain as he bagged another two in their 5-0 win over Costa Rica.

The City playmaker only has one goal to his name for the Blues this season - in the 7-2 win against Stoke - as he has been a prolific provider for the team instead.

However, he finds his shooting boots for Spain more often. He already has more goals for his country than his club last term and nearly managed the same last season, netting an incredible seven for La Roja in friendlies and their World Cup qualifying campaign.

With his latest goals Silva moves within three goals of third-placed Fernando Torres on the all-time leading goalscorers for Spain, with Raul nine in front and David Villa sitting at the top of the rankings.

As well as enjoying his country playing well, Pep Guardiola will have been thrilled by Silva's second goal against Costa Rica. …
