Flum, Paul LewisPaul Lewis Flum, founder of Paul Flum Ideas, Inc. (PFI), died peacefully at The Oak Cottage of Santa Barbara, CA, on November 5, 2017. He was 93 years old.Mr. Flum was a creative force committed to making the world a better place. He was active in the St. Louis YMCA, United Nations Association, and Saint Louis Ballet. He helped the international Y establish facilities in the former Soviet Union and contributed to global conferences for conflict resolution.Mr. Flum was born in Kalamazoo, MI. He graduated from the University of Illinois and worked in sales promotion and advertising in Chicago, where he married Nancy Rose. They moved to St. Louis, MO, when he took a position with Ralston Purina.In 1956 he founded Paul Flum Ideas, Inc., in St. Louis. The company grew to become an international leader in food and beverage merchandising equipment. …
