Teaneck's Hali Uncertain to Play When Chiefs Visit

EAST RUTHERFORD - This is supposed to be a homecoming weekend for Chiefs linebacker and Teaneck native Tamba Hali. He presumably would play well against the Giants and enjoy time with family and friends.

That's all in doubt now after Hali sat out a second consecutive practice Thursday because of his chronically ailing knees.

It's particularly worrisome because Hali is coming off his first playing time this season. Chiefs coach Andy Reid was hoping Hali would be ready to play against the Giants after KC's bye week. He was on the field for 23 of a possible 67 snaps in a loss to Dallas on Nov. 5.

The 6-foot-3, 275-pound Hali has played only for the Chiefs in his 12-year career. They drafted him in the first round (20th overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft. Hali, 34, has never looked back. …
