Drinkers Terrified after Gunmen Fire Shots in Busy Pub

BALACLAVA-CLAD men carrying a gun and machete fired shots in a busy Salford pub.

The men ran into The 'B' Hive on Holland Street, Pendleton, at around 11.10pm on Saturday.

They smashed their way through the building pushing aside any furniture that was in their path. One of the men then fired two shots at the ceiling before the pair fled the scene in a silver Ford Focus.

Police said that nobody was injured in the shooting but are appealing for anyone who saw the men as a full investigation has been launched.

Det Insp Julia Bowden, said: "On a busy Saturday night, there were a lot of people in this pub who could have been left seriously injured when the shots were fired.

"These men showed no regard for the innocent people who were in the pub at the time, putting their safety and sense of security in jeopardy as a result of their brash actions.

"There was many people in and around the pub last night, so I'd urge anyone who saw something, or has information that could help identify who these offenders are, to please speak to police. …
