Topeka Man, 37, Pleads Guilty in Child Porn Case

A 37-year-old man pleaded guilty Monday to three counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

The defendant, Jeffrey Douglas Masterson, of Topeka, will be sentenced Dec. 28 in Shawnee County District Court.

In a plea agreement, Masterson pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of a child (possession of a visual depiction of child younger 18) and two counts of sexual exploitation of a child (promoting performance of a child younger than 18), according to court records.

Topeka police received a "Cyber Tipline Report" in February from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that someone had uploaded a photograph deemed to be child pornography on Dec. 1, 2016, according to court records.

Police obtained a search warrant for Masterson's home and found the materials listed in the charges against him. …
