Wayne's Paris Inn Could Soon Have a New Owner

WAYNE – The Paris Inn could have a new owner.

The popular 17,000-square-foot banquet hall, a fixture in Wayne for 44 years, is under contract and set to be sold late next month, according to the New Jersey Multiple Listing Service, a real estate database.

The listing agency, Prominent Properties Sotheby's International Realty in Saddle River, declined to provide further details Monday. A member of the Petritsis family, which owns the property, also would not comment.

The two-story Alps Road hall, established in 1973, hosted weddings, luncheons and corporate functions before closing suddenly on March 12.

Owner Paris Petritsis initially told The Record and NorthJersey.com that the closure was temporary and the eatery would reopen after completing renovations. He later called it a personal decision and vowed to return deposits to customers who had scheduled events at the hall. …
