ANDREAS Pereira helped fire Valencia to a record-breaking eighthstraight league win ahead of a top-ofthe-table clash with Barcelona on Sunday.

The 21-year-old grabbed an assist on his last appearance for Los Che , as a second-half substitute in the win over Leganes, and was rewarded for his cameo with a start against Espanyol on Sunday.

Keeping reported United target Carlos Soler out of the starting lineup, Pereira played 80 minutes of Valencia's 2-0 victory at the RCDE Stadium as they moved six points clear of Real Madrid in second place.
