Big Plays Plague Defense Tomlin Calls Them'hiccups' Which Could Lead to Losses for the Team

Coach Mike Tomlin did not blame any one player for the number of long touchdown passes that have plagued the secondary the past three games, but he said they are preventing the Steelers from being a dominant defense and could eventually cost them a victory.

The Green Bay Packers scored touchdowns on pass plays of 39, 54 and 55 yards in Sunday's night 31-28 Steelers' victory. That comes on the heels of scoring throws of 60, 61 and 75 yards the previous two games against the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans.

"We've been having hiccups," Tomlin said Tuesday at his weekly news conference at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex. "It's preventing us from being dominant. But it goes beyond that. It puts us in a position where we can lose games."

Cornerback Coty Sensabaugh has been beaten twice for long touchdowns since replacing injured Joe Haden, but Tomlin said the problem is "not one particular guy. …
