Ntilikina Sidelined Again with Sprained Left Ankle

NEW YORK - Knicks coaches and executives agree that the most important thing for 19-year-old rookie Frank Ntilikina is to play. And after a summer and preseason hampered by nagging injuries he was doing just that.

He hadn't missed a game since Oct. 24 in Boston, the third game of the season. But he suffered a sprained left ankle, the same injury which had sidelined him for four of the five preseason games.

"It's that same ankle," Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek said. "Once you turn it once it's susceptible to twisting it occasionally. He doesn't believe it's as bad as maybe some of the previous ones. We have these three days off after this so we're hoping that with the treatment over those days he'll be good for the next game."

"I rolled my ankle in practice," Ntilikina said.

"I woke up this morning and it was sore, so (it's not good) today. …
