Trio Hunted over Brutal Attack on Man in Ginnel

THREE young men are being hunted by police after an unprovoked attack on an older man which left him with serious head injuries.

Shortly before 9pm on Sunday, November 5, officers were called to reports of an assault in an alleyway in Chorlton.

A 57-year-old man had been walking through the passage between Warwick Road South and Oswald Road when he saw three males at the other end of the alleyway.

One shouted "Oi!" but he ignored them and carried on.

As he passed the group, however, he was pushed from behind and fell onto the cobblestone path.

He was treated in hospital for extensive head injuries before being released.

The offenders are described as either teenage boys or men in their early 20s, of a slim build and around 6ft. …
