Inside out: Located just 4.5 miles from Downtown, the borough of Bellevue has an estimated population of 8,372 residents living in its 1 square mile borders. The business district along Lincoln Avenue features a variety of retail, car dealerships, hardware stores and bakeries. The borough also has a public park, the Andrew Bayne Memorial Library and many large old churches including the Church of the Assumption with a pair of domed spires. The median income was $38,702 in 2013.

The borough is celebrating its sesquicentennial this year. In the 150 year history, the borough has managed to keep many of original properties intact and keep a relatively small town feel. The community decided to end their own prohibition by referendum in 2015. …
