EAST RUTHERFORD — This time, it wasn't the Jets who melted down when it mattered most.

The Jets beat the Chiefs 38-31 at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, ending a two-game losing streak and keeping their slim playoff hopes on life support.

But more importantly, they were able to hold on to a late lead — the Jets had squandered fourth-quarter leads in three of the last five games.
