A HOLIDAY company is offering special breaks to Massachusetts to mark the 150th anniversary of the beloved novel Little Women.

Next year sees the 150th anniversary of the publication of Louisa May Alcott's novel, which was written and set at Orchard House in Concord, Massachusetts, which was also her home from 1858-1877.

The book follows the adventures of the four March sisters - Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy.

Louisa's house is open yearround for guided tours.

Special events also take place throughout the year.

Visitors to the house can get a taste of Louisa May Alcott's family life and the setting of Little Women. Meanwhile, 'Little Women: The Musical' is being staged at the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester this year, until Saturday, December 16, with tickets priced at £25 each. …
