Seaman Swimming off to Quick Start in '17-'18 Seasons

Seaman's boys swimming team, the two-time defending city and Centennial League team champion, is off to another hot start, sweeping a pair of meets last week to open the 2017-18 season.

The Vikings won the 12-team Topeka Invitational last Wednesday by a 548-409 margin over Olathe Northwest, with Washburn Rural third with 373 points. Seaman won eight of 12 events in the West meet and swept all three relays.

Seniors Janson Garman and Zeke Metz won both of their individual events and swam on two winning relays while Noah Florence won one individual event and swam on a winning relay and Josh Graves swam on two winning relays.

Washburn Rural senior Tarrin Fisher also posted an individual win in the West meet.

Seaman then doubled up with a team championship in Saturday's 10-school Lansing all relays meet, winning nine of 10 events and posting 12 top-three finishes en route to a 222-163 win over St. …
