UNITED manager Jose Mourinho has fanned the flames in the build-up to the Manchester derby by accusing certain City players of diving.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said last month City winger Raheem Sterling 'dives well' after he won a secondhalf penalty in their 3-1 victory.

And Bernardo Silva avoided a retrospective ban for simulation, having earned a spot kick in the October win against Burnley.

However, Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho was cautioned for diving in City's success at Huddersfield late last month and Mourinho wanted to bring up City players' apparent tendency to go to ground easily in his pre-derby press conference. "They are a good team," Mourinho acknowledged after he was asked about the qualities City possess.
