Attacker's Sick Text to Victim of Sex Assault

A SEX attacker sent a sick text message to a victim the day after abusing him, saying 'I hope we can do it again soon'.

Keith Robinson abused Thomas Watkin as he lay asleep and intoxicated in his own home.

Waking the next morning and realising what had happened, Thomas demanded his abuser left the house immediately and called the police.

But Robinson then sent a text which read: "Thank you so much for last night. I really enjoyed everything of the evening. I hope you did too and I hope we can do it again soon."

Five years earlier, Robinson had sexually abused another young man, Mark Evans, then aged 18, in almost identical circumstances - but police decided there wasn't enough evidence and he was not charged.

Robinson, 44, has now been jailed after pleading guilty to sex offences against both men at Manchester Crown Court.

Both Mark and Thomas were targeted by Robinson when they worked as volunteers at New Mills Art Theatre in New Mills, near Stockport.

They have waived their right to anonymity to voice their anger and encourage others who have been abused to speak out.

Thomas, who was 20 when he was abused in 2015, is now living in the Midlands with his partner and baby daughter. He had been working at the theatre for three years, as a stage hand and at front of house.

Thomas said: "Every weekend I would have a few friends round at my flat. Keith told me about a family member passing away, so I suggested he should come round to cheer him up. I have regretted saying that ever since. There was about five or six people at the flat for five hours. When we started to call it a night Keith couldn't drink and drive so I said he could stop over.

"He slept on the sofa and I went to my room. I woke up in the morning with just my boxer shorts on. I said to Robinson 'Why am I naked?' and he said 'Don't you remember last night?'" As reported in the M. …
