Regarding the bakery case before the Supreme Court (Masterpiece Cakeshop vs. Colorado Civil Rights Commission): I firmly believe that someone has the right to refuse to bake a cake for an event that offends his or her sensibilities.

In fact, I believe the law should require that anybody who has such a policy is obliged to post prominently their biases. That way, if I walk into a bakery that says, "We do not bake cakes for same-sex marriages," I can freely express my reaction to this by turning around and walking right back out. Therefore, those of us who find that we are offended by pseudo-religious bigotry know not to patronize these establishments.

If I walk into a bakery that says, "We bake wedding cakes for any couple," I will probably buy something. I say this as a straight male. Let the market decide. …
