P04 - (Finance-Ministers) OTTAWA. x-18s. The country's finance ministers are cautiously optimistic a deal can be reached today on how the federation will divvy up tax proceeds from the sale of legalized recreational marijuana. Federal Finance Minister Bill Morneau believes there is agreement on some key principles for how pot is sold. This morning, he said the discussions will come down to who pays for the services surrounding legalized marijuana sales, including things like policing and public awareness.
