P09 - (Fighter-Jets) OTTAWA. x-21s. The Trudeau government is officially abandoning its plan to buy 18 Super Hornet fighter jets from Boeing and instead will be purchasing 18 used jets from Australia. Chief of Defence Staff General Jonathan Vance says the used jets will be ready and capable to fly and operate to Canadian Air Force standards, despite being used. ("..are required for.")
