JOSE Mourinho has suggested he will make wholesale changes to the United team after Wednesday night's appalling Carabao Cup defeat to Bristol City.

Korey Smith's 93rd-minute winner dumped the holders out at the quarter-final stage on an evening Mourinho claimed was 'a day that some [players] don't even want to come to the office'.

The United manager made 10 changes to the side which beat West Brom on Sunday, with Marcus Rashford the only player to retain his place. Mourinho still fielded £233.9m of talent, as Paul Pogba returned from suspension and Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored on his first start since April 20.

But Mourinho suggested the majority of the starters would return to the bench or be demoted altogether for tomorrow night's trip to Leicester. …
