The Trudeau government is promising to provide injured veterans with more financial compensation and assistance in the form of long-promised lifelong disability pensions. Veterans Affairs Minister Seamus O'Regan says the new plan abandons lump-sum payments that were introduced a decade ago, because the government doesn't want injured veterans to feel like they've been abandoned.
