CHESTER Zoo is home to some of the cutest and most fascinating creatures in the world - and here are some of their 2017 highlights.

The zoo's adorable animals provided photographers with plenty of inspiration in 2017, and these are their favourite shots of the year.

The amazing year saw the arrival of an extremely rare Philippine spotted deer and the survival of a tiny orphaned antelope. In March, a quartet of unusual lowland streaked tenrecs arrived at the zoo - a species experts say are unlike any other mammal on earth.

May saw the arrival of two pocketsized piglets - born to mum Mali and dad Con-Fetti.

June saw the birth of not one, but two critically-endangered Eastern black rhino calves, born just a week apart.

The UK's only dusky pademelons made their public debuts in September and the following month lowland anoa calf Niko was born to Oana and Teal. …
